1 Sign Dylan Strome (and play him with DeBrincat)

Dylan Strome might not have had as good of a year as he did last year, but he still can be one of the Blackhawks’ best centers a year or two down the line. Jonathan Toews is not getting any younger, and it looks like Dach and Strome are going to be the future centers for this team. Making sure Strome re-signs needs to be the number one priority.

I do not see Strome asking for more than 3 or 4 million a year. He just has not played that great to earn any more money than that. So getting him under contract should not be that big of an issue. I know a lot of people believe getting Dominik Kubalik should be the Blackhawks number one priority right now, and while I do believe he is a great player, I just think he is not as big of a difference-maker as Strome.

Kubalik had one great year for the Blackhawks. Yes, he scored goals at a crazy amount through the second half of the season, but that does not guarantee he will do it again next season. The Blackhawks need to be careful when they offer him a contract.

My big not for Stan Bowman here is to re-sign Dylan Strome at all cost, and after he does so Colliton needs to play him with Alex DeBrincat. We saw Strome and DeBrincat split up for most of this season, we even saw them in the bottom six on more than a few occasions. I do not think that is going to get this team anywhere, and we need to see them together again next year.
