Jonathan Toews

Another easy to pick to represent the Blackhawks on the 2010s’ Mount Rushmore is the captain himself, Jonathan Toews. No other Blackhawks’ captain has had more success in his career with the team. Toews has brought in three Stanley Cups and a Conn Smythe to help make this team better, he is going to be a symbol of our championship teams forever.

Toews has always been known as a captain serious with the Blackhawks. For a long time, this past decade people considered him to be the top leader in the entire NHL. He somehow managed to get the best out of all his teammates and himself when they needed him most. While his play has dropped a little over the past few seasons that does not change the fact that Toews is one of the best.

I honestly think very few players in the NHL have a better worth ethic than Jonathan Toews. He has constantly worked to improve his game year after year, and we demand so much out of him that the fans are never satisfied.

While Toews is not putting up the type of numbers Kane is, I think it is rather obvious that Jonathan Toews is one of the top players on this Blackhawks team, and in the NHL this past decade. The number three player on our Mount Rushmore is even less of a shock.
