Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane is the reason why the play-in series is the best-of-five instead of the best-of-three. That’s pretty impressive that the league changed the rules in fear of Kane. Kane has to defend that now with a great playoff run.

This test against the Oilers is big for the Blackhawks, as they’re a real threat to win the Stanley Cup this season. If the Blackhawks can get past the Oilers, they have a real shot at messing things up and surprising teams in the playoffs.

What really matters is how well Kane plays, as he’s coming off of his best statical season in 2018-19, with a decent year to follow it up this year. He is the team’s MVP and got robbed of being at least in the running for league MVP last season. He can get his payback by winning the Conn Smythe in 2020.

If anyone on the team can take over a series, it’s Kane. He cannot do it all on his own though. He will need help from everyone on this list and more.

The playoffs will be exciting and hopefully the Blackhawks can win at least a series or two. I’m happy with a deep run and I truly believe this team can go the distance, as they have the talent on their team to do so. It just will come up to the veterans who have won before.
