1 – They are in the same position as us

While the Oilers might be seeded higher going into this first-round matchup, that does not mean anything when it comes to who wins it all. The Oilers and Blackhawks both have been missing out on hockey since March, and both teams are going to be playing in a neutral arena determined by the NHL.

There is not going to be a home-ice advantage, and so it is up to the players to get and keep momentum without the fans behind them cheering them on. I know that the NHL is going to want to have some type of playoff atmosphere, but at the end of the day, these veterans are going to be the ones getting their team ready to play, which gives the Blackhawks the advantage of the Oilers.

Being in the same position as us with the season being paused for over two months brings me to my next point as to why the Blackhawks have the edge over the Oilers. Our injured guys are going to hopefully be ready to go.
