A lot of people have already written off the Chicago Blackhawks playoff chances. People believe that this team will not be able to beat the Edmonton Oilers in the best of five series, and honestly, I am one of those people.

Today, Ryan Fedrau and Jimmy Lynch thought it might be interesting to throw our ideas together and have an open conversation about the chances the Blackhawks have at beating Edmonton and beyond. We do not know when they are going to play each other, but when hockey does come back that will be the biggest bunch of games the Blackhawks will play all year, so let’s jump right in Ryan!

First of all, let me just say that it is a miracle that the Blackhawks are in a play-in matchup. I call it a play-in matchup and not a playoff matchup because the Blackhawks are not playing this series against Edmonton to make the second round, it is to make the traditional first round. This Blackhawks team is not a playoff team. They have holes and are deeply flawed.

We have seen how bad our blue line is all-season, why do you think this series is going to be different Ryan?
