The future of the Chicago Blackhawks is found on players currently on entry-level contracts. So today I want to highlight every player on entry-level contracts.

Think about all of the different players that have helped put the Chicago Blackhawks in a position to play a series against Edmonton in the next month. I know we like to talk about the roles that Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews have played in getting the Blackhawks in the position they are in, but it starts with the younger guys who can do more for everyone.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are a great example of young players stepping into a big role right away. Guys like Jake Guentzel and Olli Maatta stepped up to make the Penguins competitive for their Stanley Cups in 2016 and 2017. They also now have Jared McCann now, another young forward, helping the team put the puck in the net.

We might not see some of these guys right away, or at all, but take a look at all of the players we highlight today because you might see them later down the line. Remember not many people were talking about a guy like Dominik Kubalik last season, and yet he broke into the league rather quickly this past season with the Blackhawks!
