The only goalie on this list is a great goalie who never really got his full chance with the 2015 Blackhawks. Antti Raanta was a great position goalie when he broke into the league with the Blackhawks. He was set to become the next starter in Chicago until the team got to know Scott Darling.
Scott Darling and Antti Raanta had a little battle for the backup position in Chicago throughout much of the 2015 regular season. Darling ended up winning the position in the end, but Raanta is the real winner because he is still in the league today.
The future of the Chicago Blackhawks goalie position is up in the air, as Corey Crawford does not have a contract for next season, because of that I wish we had the 30-year-old Raanta back on the team. Raanta, who is currently in Arizona, is currently on a contract worth 4.5 million. That is a great value for what Raanta can bring to the table, considering he and Darcy Kuemper put that team in a position to make a run for the playoffs in a play-in series.
