So many different players looked like they hit another level tonight. Dominik Kubalik did not skip a beat, Jonathan Toews looked rejuvenated, and Kirby Dach is continuing to develop.

Dominik Kubalik had so many great shots tonight, especially in the first period. I remember a rush with him and Jonathan Toews that almost left the Blackhawks with a big goal to start the game. It is alright that he did not capitalize on all of his shots because he did manage to put a few goals in the net.

Dominik Kubalik tallied two goals and an assist tonight, and he only registered four shots on goal. I really think his shot might be the Blackhawks’ best chance at scoring on the power play in the play-ins. Putting Kubalik with Kane on the power play could be a deadly threat.

I really like where Kirby Dach’s game is at right now as well. I think that he could really be a bigger piece of this team sooner than we all expected. Imagine if this was a normal year, Dach would be gearing up for his second season in the NHL, so that might explain why he seems to be better than when we last saw him.

Dach has had a few months to improve his game like a regular offseason and come in stronger with more confidence. Hopefully, that confidence can translate over to the Oilers series.
