Scenario Four: Corey Crawford Gets The Last Laugh

When it comes to the Blackhawks 2021 season the biggest question mark is their goaltending. The team has three unproven goalies trying to fill the crease of a two time Stanley Cup Champion and overall elite goalie in Corey Crawford.

There is a real possibility that none of the three options will be able to be the next Corey Crawford, and Chicago will struggle because of it. So many times the past few seasons we have talked about how Crawford stole the game for Chicago. The ‘Hawks goaltending has been the backbone of this team even when the rest wasn’t too great.

It is a lot easier to win a game thanks to good goaltending and bad offensive play than it is to win a game with bad goaltending and good offensive play. Chicago is going to find their team in a bad position next season if they have to score five goals a game to compete.

If these three goalies are not up to the task of filling Crawford’s shoes then Crawford is going to get the last laugh in this scenario.

So what do you think is the most likely scenario for the Blackhawks next season? While things are still early and we do not even have a schedule for the new season, I am hopeful that things will work out for the better and we will be watching Blackhawks hockey sooner rather than later.
