2. Nikita Zadorov

Nikita Zadorov is the only player on this list that is new to the team. Everyone else is returning to Chicago for another season next year.

Now more than ever, Chicago needs defensemen like Nikita Zadorov. Zadorov has sizes and skill when he chooses to use it. I believe all eyes will be on Zadorov because not only does this team need him, but Colorado clearly showed they did not.

The Colorado Avalanche fans have spoken a lot about how Zadorov was not the most consistent NHL defensemen. I am a little worried Chicago is getting a player like Connor Murphy that is two years younger than him.

Zadorov needs to go out next season and prove he can be something with this team. He only signed a one year deal with this team, showing he is betting on himself to be worth more next season.

I also think it will be important to watch who the Blackhawks choose to play with Nikita Zadorov. Whether it be Adam Boqvist or Ian Mitchell, Chicago will need Zadorov to play as physical as possible and be a presence in the defensive zone.
