4. Who will be the expansion draft next victim?

The Chicago Blackhawks lost Trevor van Riemsdyk to Vegas last time the expansion draft occurred. Now the team will have to try and navigate who to leave unprotected this time. Maybe Seattle will want one of the Blackhawks’ three goalies if that is the case haha.

The Blackhawks have a lot of players they have to consider whether or not to protect. With only three spots available on defense, and one going to Duncan Keith, even who gets protected on the blue line is in question.

5. Do the Blackhawks have any NHL Draft day trades in the future?

The Chicago Blackhawks altered their franchise during the 2017 NHL draft when they traded Niklas Hjalmarsson and Artemi Panarin in separate deals. It was the deal that put the Blackhawks on this current course and the team has not been that great since.

Maybe the team can use the NHL draft to alter their franchise in a good way. While the draft is not an instant fix, there definitely are ways the team can take their game to the next level.
