This past season was the year of the Chicago Blackhawks’ rookies.

With so many different rookies making the jump to the NHL, the question remains who will be the next group of Chicago Blackhawks prospects to keep an eye on?

Kevin Lankinen, Philipp Kurashev, Pius Suter, Ian Mitchell, Mike Hardman, Brandon Hagel, Mackenzie Entwistle, and Wyatt Kalynuk all made their NHL debuts this season. I honestly still might have missed a player or two from that list, this team just had so many new faces this season it is hard to keep track.

Chicago is in a good position. They managed to stay afloat despite playing so many new guys and relying upon them to be game-changers within the organization. However, all that youth definitely leaves fans wondering what the next group of players in that position will look like. Personally, I am excited to think about where this team could be in a season or two.

I am a Blackhawks fan, and I am an optimistic one at that. All five of the players on this list could be guys that play a big role in the future, or they could be guys that never wear the Blackhawks uniform. I am hoping the first possibility comes true there. So without further ado here are the five Blackhawks I am excited to see in the organization in the future.
