Lukas Reichel is someone that probably could be in the NHL next season. He has shown he is a stable forward that can factor into the team’s bottom-six, especially on a weak team looking for help like the Blackhawks are.
However, is that the best for his future? I mean he has five points at the world championships thus far. It is expected that he will sign this off-season with the team, and he is someone that the organization thinks highly of.
Similar to other players on this list, what worries me about playing these guys in the NHL next season is that there are only so many roster spots. Yes, they can be third or fourth-line guys that play maybe play 30 games, but does that benefit their development?
Reichel probably gets ten or so games in the NHL next season, and unless he is so good they just cannot take him out of the lineup, I hope he spends the season in the AHL playing top minutes with the IceHogs.
