Drew Commesso

The Chicago Blackhawks are going to need Drew Commesso in a few seasons. While things are pretty good in the net with Kevin Lankinen and Collin Delia / Malcolm Subban, this team definitely needs that future starter someday.

Who knows how long Commesso needs before he will be ready to jump over to the NHL. Goalies are different than regular players, everyone knows that. So while Commesso might have been a second-round pick during the 2020 NHL draft, it might take him a handful of seasons before he is ready to play in the NHL.

I think the fact that he was added to the US National Team a week ago is great, and hopefully, he will be able to learn from that experience and take a step closer to being NHL ready. When it comes to goalies experience is important. With more time hopefully Commesso will be ready to split the net with Kevin Lankinen in a few years.
