My opinion is the Hawks should stay away from any of their prospects, as these are the lifeblood of an organization, and should be only considered if the return is elite, such as a trade for a star like Jack Eichel or others of that caliber.

In all, the ‘Hawks do have marketable assets, but that isn’t to say they should start moving players. Given where they are in the standings, and perceptively around the league, you start to wonder whether teams are calling to inquire about some of the players on this list.

Personally, I think it’s still too early to give up on any of the young players, but knowing the decisions coming after this next season (14 free agents, and headed into the final year of Kane, Toews, DeBrincat, and Keith), it may prompt some interesting decisions for Stan Bowman and the front office.
