Stan Bowman is one of the longest-tenured general managers in the entire NHL, and because of that, he has made a lot of different moves over the years. Today rather than talk about the bad moves he has made, I want to talk about three good moves over the past handful of seasons to help the Blackhawks.

Getting this team back on track to win more championships is not going to be easy. It is something that will take significant time and also some good trades throughout the years.

Chicago is on the right track now because of the moves they have made the past few seasons. Before diving in and praising Stan Bowman for any of his moves the past few seasons I think it is worth pointing out that he has made a lot of mistakes along the way. A lot of these moves were corrections of past mistakes or ways to help add depth that the roster did not have after other bad decisions.

The Blackhawks are a more competitive complete team than they were two or three years ago, and I think that these moves listed will help make them better for years to come.
