Blackhawks: Three Bowman trades to stop if I had a time machine

Teuvo Teravainen Trade
The Blackhawks gave the Carolina Hurricanes Teuvo Teravainen in order to free up four million in cap space for one season. Wow was that a bad trade at the time, and still looks bad today.
Our time machine has taken a stop during the 2016 offseason on June 15th. When this trade was announced it really did not make sense. The Blackhawks did need to clear up some cap space, but I think Stan Bowman just forgot who Teuvo Teravainen was.
This was not a player that was an unproven prospect, it was a guy who had won a Stanley Cup a year before and was well on his way to becoming a top-six winger in the NHL. The 2016 season in general saw the Blackhawks give up a lot of those types of players they are missing today. Whether it be Phillip Danault to Montreal or Teravainen to Carolina, Chicago made some mistakes that season.
