3 His own playing ability

Caleb Jones might have been drafted in the fourth round, but he has been one of the more successful players out there from his round. Jones has played in 93 NHL games over the course of his career.

His first season in the league a few years back was his best, but now in Chicago maybe he can turn things around and be a 19-minute defenseman again. When Jones did play in Edmonton this past season he was a bottom pairing guy for the most part. Playing around 13 or 14 minutes a night, Jones’s worst stat was his turnovers.

Now in Chicago, he will get an opportunity to play up and down the lineup. The door is wide open for his success, and he just added to the young players the team already has on their roster. Speaking of that fountain of youth, let’s talk about some of the other guys as well.
