Riley Stillman (D)

Riley Stillman has the longest contract out of everyone on the blue line. He is signed for another few seasons after signing a contract extension with Chicago last season. The team is making the right call protecting him over Zadorov or de Haan, Stillman is young and can develop into a top-four defenseman in Chicago.

With all the defensemen out of the way, the one position we have not mentioned is goaltending.

Kevin Lankinen (G)

Kevin Lankinen got the nod as the protected player for the Blackhawks, although I do not think it would matter who the team protects here. Seattle was not going to take Subban, Delia, or Lankinen. There are better goalies out there that can help the Kraken more. Now we just have to wait and see what happens when the expansion draft goes down on Wednesday night!
