3 Dominik Kubalik

Dominik Kubalik is making 3.7 million dollars this season. He is 26 years old and definitely should have a good season after spending the year without his linemate Jonathan Toews in 2020-21. This should be a good year for Kubalik thanks to some of the additions the team added this offseason.

Kubalik will be a lock in the top six, and his power-play time should increase this season as the team now does have the power to use two different units more evenly rather than just one. Kubalik definitely will benefit from a full 82 game season, something he has not played in throughout his entire career yet.

His ice time has only gone up the past two seasons in the league and his contract extension might be a little high if he plays well this season. The past two years have shown he will thrive with anyone, and he can be a valuable piece to the team up and down the lineup. So getting his contract extension out of the way before he can put up big numbers alongside Jonathan Toews and whoever else the team decides to play on the top line would be a smart decision.
