1. The Calgary Flames
The Calgary Flames did not have the season they expected last year. They did not make the postseason and struggled throughout most of the year. They will be looking to get back on track in 2021-22, and maybe that means adding another missing piece to their roster.
Dylan Strome is in need of a fresh start in my eyes. He has struggled in Chicago and with all the different additions things are not going to get easier. Calgary has spots open and is looking to find a new identity after struggling last season.
Shipping him to the Pacific Division would limit how much the Hawks have to play him and gives the team a draft pick or prospect in return. The Flames have two second-round picks at the coming NHL draft, maybe Chicago can land one of those picks and a fifth-round pick for Strome. A move like that would also clear up some cap space for the team as well, another win.
