2. The Return of the Captain

Jonathan Toews is the voice of the Blackhawks and having him back this season will definitely leave an impact. The team was without their top-line center last year, and while they did manage, they were not as competitive and were missing something.

Toews’s return should leave the entire group hungry to win. This is a future hall of fame player who is now back on the ice trying to do everything he can to win now. It will be some of the young players and new additions’ first time playing with Toews as their captain, and from the start, great things are going to be expected out of the team.

Toews was great during the play-in series against Edmonton, one of the last times we saw him play, and if he can get back to that form that would be amazing. Just having Toews back in the locker room is a reason to expect a push for the playoffs this season.
