3. An Improved Bottom Six

Chicago did their best this offseason adding Tyler Johnson and Jujhar Khaira to their team to add a few more missing pieces to their bottom six. The Hawks have a lot of talented players coming back but now they have a year under their belt and will be ready to take the next step forward.

The team has so many qualified forwards to play in their bottom six that now there is a little bit of an internal competition to get a spot, which is only a benefit for the team when you think about competition and bringing out the best in everybody.

Who gets to get a spot in the bottom six is still up for grabs. Nylander, Gaudette, Carpenter, Connolly, Hagel, Johnson, Khaira, and Kurashev are all looking for spots, and I still am missing a few other players off of that list.

This preseason will be fun to watch as the team establishes their roster, either way, that bottom six will be filled with the winners of the preseason and should be more competitive and capable than ever before.
