3. Jonathan Toews Comes Back Better Than Ever:
The Chicago Blackhawks are holding their breath and counting on Toews to play the majority of the season. One of the best case scenarios for this team, and for Toews, is that he can play the majority of the games on the top line.
While it probably doesn’t make sense to play him on the power play, putting Toews in situations that the team needs him in is invaluable to the team. Adding Toews back to the lineup is arguably the biggest acquisition of the offseason – forget about Jones and Fleury – getting the captain back is more important.
Jonathan Toews back on the ice playing as a number one center gives the Blackhawks more options, and it gives the team some stability on the top line as there are a handful of different players that could make sense in the position right now.
If the Blackhawks get Toews back and he is at 100 percent at some point this season the team will be in a great situation to win some games along the way.
