Blackhawks: Three Players To Watch Tonight Against The Blues

There are a number of big-time players to keep an eye on tonight when the Chicago Blackhawks face off against the St. Louis Blues.
The Chicago Blackhawks are such an interesting team right now. There are just so many different guys that could potentially be on this team, but there are only a limited number of spots to fit everyone in. Some people are going to be left off the list, and maybe today will be another time for different players to shine.
Let’s mention a few of those bubble guys right now. Guys like Adam Gaudette, Henrik Borgstrom, Philipp Kurashev, Jujhar Khaira, and Ryan Carpenter all could have spots on this team, now who will actually get those spots remains to be seen.
Tonight’s matchup will be the first matchup against the Blackhawks long-time rival St. Louis in a long time. While I do understand the Hawks and Blues are bitter rivals and that the Blues are basically a team Hawks fans love to hate, at the same time I definitely have missed seeing the two team’s faceoff.
Now is the time to get the rivalry reunited, especially now that the Hawks look to be more competitive than the last time the two teams faced off. Before we dive in with the three guys I am most excited to watch play, let’s start with some honorable mentions.
- Brandon Hagel was great in game one of the preseason and I can’t wait to see how he follows that performance up.
- Marc-Andre Fleury is about to play his first game in the United Center that is going to be a great sight to see.
- Dylan Strome will be getting a shot on the third line tonight alongside Nylander and Carpenter. That entire line should be in do or die mode, as there are a lot of players making strong cases to be in the lineup.
So with all that in mind let’s jump in with the first player to watch tonight against the Blues:
