2021-22 Season: Away Start Against The Colorado Avalanche.

The Blackhawks’ first game of the 2021-22 season did not start off great with three straight goals early from the Colorado Avalanche, but the team did start to get things under control with a great first goal of the season from Dominik Kubalik.

Kubalik has been reunited with Jonathan Toews this season, but it was actually on the power play that Kubalik scored the first goal of the season for the team. Even though the game did not start off great, that first goal of the season definitely helped settle the team down.

Kubalik put up 17 goals last season, hopefully, he can pass that number by a hefty amount in 2021-22. The first goal of the season by the Blackhawks is fitting, as it comes after the team is already down by three. Hopefully, in the coming games, the team can focus on starting the game on the right note and playing a complete 60-minute game.

Chicago is back in action on Friday against the New Jersey Devils.
