Matt Kmiecik

A Chicagoland native, Matt grew up in Tinley Park, IL, and attended Victor J. Andrew High School. He completed his undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago where he studied Psychology and Biology. It was during his college years that fell in love with the Blackhawks during their historic Stanley Cup runs in 2010 and 2013. Matt is currently a PhD student at The University of Texas at Dallas studying cognitive neuroscience. Despite living far from his beloved city of Chicago, Matt's obsession with the Hawks found a new outlet: hockey analytics using the techniques and methods learned in graduate school. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Hawks games, performing hockey analytics in R, reading, and bouldering.
