Tonight (ESPN 7:30) our captain Jonathan Toews and our star winger Patrick Kane will play in their 1,000th game together. Recently re-paired, the two have won 3 Stanley Cups together with the only franchise they've ever known.

This is a beyond rare acheivement as they will mark only the 11th duo to accomplish this feat (according to NHL at www.nhl.com). As we embark on a new rebuild in Chicago, this special day coincides with the final year of their 8 year / 84million extensions they both signed in the middle of their dynasty runs.

The future is unknown for both cornerstones; will they be traded, extend in Chicago, or possibly even retire a Blackhawk at season's end? This is the #1 question for the entire season as a Blackhawks fan. A new era will soon begin for Hawks' fans, so let's enjoy today and how lucky we've all had it to watch not 1, but 2 Hall of Fame players wear our home jersey for 1,000 games together!

The Blackhawks will welcome in the New York Rangers, the only team they've beaten in the last 15 (!!!!) games.
