Chicago Blackhawks Host New York Islanders: Start Time, TV Listings, And Predictions

The Chicago Blackhawks play the rare back to back, home and home matchup versus an Eastern Conference team tonight with the return matchup at the United Center tonight against the New York Islanders.

The Chicago Blackhawks helped christen the Barclays Center by scoring the first regular season goal in the building and winning the first ever game when Patrick Kane scored a goal from a deflection, and now we get to do it all again tonight.

The Chicago Blackhawks now will try to win their first game on home ice tonight, so they will be looking for a much better start then they did at home on Wednesday against the Rangers when they gave up 3 first period goals that they weren’t able to recover from.

What will be one big thing for me to watch tonight is how Joel Quenneville uses his third line tonight, because Coach Q has been shuffling lines already.  Q said he planned on using Teuvo Teravainen on the top line for a while and that only lasted a little more than a game, so the third line could be a key line for the Blackhawks that has been in flux for two games already.

It looks like Scott Darling will get his first start of the season tonight, so we will be looking to see if the Lemont Native is able to reproduce the great play that he displayed last season especially in the Nashville Predators first round series.

The best line so far for the Chicago Blackhawks in the first two games has been the second line with Patrick Kane, Artem Anisimov and Artemi Panarin creating havoc in both contests.  Will they be able to bring it for a third straight game and show a whole lot of consistency.

On the predictions part of the program,  Due to traveling I missed last night’s game, but i did correctly predict that Artemi Panarin would be the #3 Star on opening night so there’s that going for me going into tonight’s game.

Game Prediction- I feel like this will be another fun game to watch with both teams playing an up and down game with the final score being 3-2 in overtime. The Blackhawks will be lead by a Marian Hossa and Ryan Garbutt goals.

Three Stars- The Three Stars for tonight will be as follows.  The #1 Star Marian Hossa, #2 Star Brent Seabrook and the #3 Star of the night will be Scott Darling who will of course with the game prediction pick up his 1st victory of the season.
