The Chicago Blackhawks are back at the United Center after a four game road trip that saw them go a very respectable 3-1.  The Hawks are now looking for one more point to claim the third spot in the Central Division and send the Nashville Predators to an opening round series against either the LA Kings or Anaheim Ducks.

The Chicago Blackhawks don’t have me as excited about their chances about repeating as I was in 2014, but they still haven’t had a complete lineup all year long due to long injuries of Marcus Kruger and the latest concussion issue of Corey Crawford.  It will be interesting to see how good this team is when the entire band gets put together hopefully right before the end of the regular season.

The Hawks only have four more games in the regular season with two games against playoff teams and two against teams playing out the string.  This is a great week for the Hawks to build up some playoff momentum with players returning from injury or illness.

The Chicago Blackhawks will get Marian Hossa back today, but they lose Andrew Shaw whose injury isn’t supposed to be serious. Of course the player everyone is waiting to return is Corey Crawford who was on the ice yesterday before practice and today before the game, so one hopes he can get in a game this week before the playoffs begin.

The biggest issue for the Hawks the rest of the way of course is the defense without suspended Duncan Keith. They were ok in Winnipeg, but there are time when you yell out loud or put it on Twitter (What are you doing Trevor van Riemsdyk!!!)  The Hawks will need to keep scoring goals like they did against the Jets this week to put up victories that’s for sure, because nothing is a for sure deal on the blue line.  Here are the listings for today’s game.

On to the predictions and I did get one thing absolutely correct and that was the fact that Patrick Kane would have a goal and an assist, but that’s all I got right so on to today’s matchup against the Bruins.

Final Score Prediction–  The Chicago Blackhawks start building up their late season momentum like they normally do and win this game going away 4-2 with another strong game from Kane and the second line.
