Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks host the Florida Panthers tonight, and they will be looking for a 3 game winning streak with a win.

The Chicago Blackhawks are have barely won two straight games against some pretty weak opponents, and tonight is a golden opportunity for a 3 game winning streak against a beat up Panthers team playing on back to back games.

There was a pretty big change at practice on Monday when Joel Quenneville decided to put Richard Panik on the outside looking in to the top 4 lines.

Panik hasn’t scored in 21 straight games which is totally unacceptable for a guy that has been playing on the top line for the Chicago Blackhawks.  His slide could have been easily explainable after last years breakout season since last year he scored a bunch of goals early in the season and then everyone remembers his highlight reel goal against the Penguins. Consistency wasn’t his calling card, it was goals in bunches which he’s been unable to duplicate this season.

The other noticeable thing is that Michal Kempny might never see the ice again since he’s the odd man out with the emergence of Gustav Forsling.  Kempny isn’t bad, but the side he plays on his locked down for the time being.  It is possible he could be put in some trade talks sooner than later.

The Hawks need points, and tonight is yet another chance to beat a team they should beat up on.  Here are some morning links to start your Gameday!
