On this date in Chicago Blackhawks history,

On March 25, 1972 at Boston Garden Bobby Hull scored his 600th goal when after receiving a nifty pass from

Dennis Hull

he blasted a slap shot past Bruins goalie

Gerry Cheevers

with

Bobby Orr

trying helplessly to block the rocket from the Golden Jet. Here is a clip of Bobby Hull’s 598-600th goals.

Bobby would only score four more goals in his Blackhawks career, and he is still the only Blackhawks to achieve this milestone. Bobby Hull is only one 18 players to make it to the 600 career plateu with one of them of course being his son Brett with 741 career goals.

It’s pretty cool in the video watching the ovation the Boston fans gave Hull on the achievement. The greatest scoring Blackhawks goal scorer achieved his big milestone on this date 41 years ago today!
