Reasons to have hope regarding the Chicago Blackhawks

The 2024-2025 NHL season did not go the way that the Hawks had hoped that it would. But despite the frustrations, the pains and the goodbyes, there is hope on the horizon.

The additions of so many future star players should have put those critics to bed for now.

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I see superstar-level potential out of at least Connor Bedard, Frank Nazar, Sam Rinzel, Spencer Knight, and Artyom Levshunov. Rinzel was so impressive to close out the season that I seriously have to consider which defenseman to be higher on, Rinzel or Levshunov.

Nazar was on an absolute tear to end the year. He had five goals in his final seven games, including the final goal of the season. And despite how disappointed many fans were with Bedard this season, history suggests that he is right on track to be a superstar.

There is hope because these players that we have all been pinning our hopes on have finally begun to arrive.

Next season, it isn't absurd to think that at least some of these tantalizing players will be on the opening night roster.

I am beyond excited to see what Connor Bedard can do in year three of his career, and what a full season of Frank Nazar will look like, and what the young defenseman will bring as a full-timer. The list goes on and on of things to be happy about.

Despite all of the suffering and struggles that this team and subsequently this fanbase have had to endure, there is cause for hope again.
