The Chicago Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup Playoffs opener Thursday against the Nashville Predators wasn’t a whole lot of fun, so Blackhawk Up is offering you an option to spice things up for tonight’s Game 2

There are many ways to watch Chicago Blackhawks games during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. All of them involve some sort of stress. How you handle that stress obviously depends on your surroundings, as well as some other factors.

Maybe you enjoy grabbing a beer or mixed drink during a Blackhawks playoff game, to calm your nerves or whatnot. Well, if that’s the case, Blackhawk Up has something for you ahead of tonight’s Game 2 against the Nashville Predators.

It’s time for a postseason drinking game. And what better time to break out such a tool than on a weekend? The Blackhawks and Predators will play their second game tonight, finishing up the opening run at the United Center before the series turns to Bridgestone Arena on Sunday.

Of course, you could drink your adult beverage in the normal way during tonight’s game. But what about adding a little entertainment to the mix? That’s where we have you covered.

Let’s get to the Chicago Blackhawks playoff drinking game for tonight’s contest in the Windy City.

Chicago Blackhawks

(Fair warning: I’m not sure who will be on the broadcast team for this game, as far as the national broadcast is concerned. It was Kenny Albert and Pierre McGuire for the opener, so I’ll assume they’re going to be around for Game 2.)

Take one drink if …

— The Blackhawks being shut out in Game 1 is referenced (maybe you ought to carefully measure your drinks here)

— One or more of the Blackhawks’ last three Stanley Cups is mentioned (seriously, carefully measure)

Jonathan Toews is caught on camera with an “Angry Toews” face

— The Blackhawks score a goal

Corey Crawford makes a glove save

— Pierre McGuire talks about someone’s college experience

— Soft-serve ice cream is mentioned (for those on the local broadcast)

— “All you young hockey players” is uttered (from wherever Ed Olczyk winds up)

Take two drinks if …

— Pierre McGuire mentions Sidney Crosby

— The Blackhawks score a powerplay goal

Trevor van Riemsdyk falls down

Johnny Oduya falls down

— The United Center crowd starts chanting Pekka Rinne‘s name

— The Blackhawks take a too-many-men penalty

Take three drinks if …

Joel Quenneville noticeably smiles/laughs/tries to stifle a laugh while being interviewed by Pierre McGuire

Marcus Kruger scores a goal

Artemi Panarin gets in a fight

— Barry Trotz is mentioned

— The shoot-the-puck contest is shown at intermission

Finish your drink if …

Jordin Tootoo scores a goal

Patrick Kane or Corey Crawford get in a fight

— The game goes to a third overtime

Peter Laviolette and Joel Quenneville fight

I realize some of these rules are potentially dangerous, but so is being a Blackhawks fan during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. How many postseason games have we sat through where we were worried our bodies would actually give out on us?

So if drinking during a hockey game is your cup of tea, give this game a shot. If Game 2 is anything like Game 1 (hopefully not the case), you’ll need some sort of stimulation.
