The Chicago Blackhawks are an Original Six team with legendary players and Hall of Famers wearing their iconic red and black sweaters. With a history stretching back to 1926, that also means players have faced the Blackhawks and delivered memorable performances, including Howie Meeker and Yvan Cournoyer. Both players recorded the only five-goal games against Chicago in NHL history back in 1947 and 1975.

Although we could spend all day talking about the players with the most career points against the Blackhawks, today we're focusing solely on active skaters. Surprisingly, out of the 10 players on today’s list, not a single one of them has recorded a hat trick against Chicago.

Active NHL Players with the Most Points Against the Blackhawks

Mikko Rantanen (39 points)

30GP - 13G - 26A - 39PTS

With the exception of 13 games with the Carolina Hurricanes, Mikko Rantanen has played the entirety of his career in the Central Division. Between his time with the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars, the Finnish native has put up 39 points in 30 games against the Blackhawks. He is one of four players on this list averaging more than a point per game versus the Original Six franchise.

Alex Pietrangelo (40 points)

58GP - 9G - 31A - 40PTS

Alex Pietrangelo hasn’t played in the NHL since the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, but he hasn’t retired yet either. As the only defenseman on this list, he’s built up a pretty impressive resume against Chicago thanks to 12 seasons in St. Louis. He remains one of four active players with more than 30 assists against the Blackhawks.

Corey Perry (40 points)

The ageless Corey Perry is the only skater on the list who actually played in Chicago at some point during his career. Considering he’s been everywhere in his 21-year career, it’s no surprise that he’s tallied 40 points against the Blackhawks, the most points against any Original Six club.

Mark Scheifele (41 points)

49GP - 19G - 22A - 41PTS

Outside of Winnipeg, not many fans would realize that Jets forward Mark Scheifele is fast approaching 1,000 games and 1,000 points. As a multi-time 30-goal scorer, he's been tormenting the Central Division for much of his 15-year NHL career, including the Blackhawks, with 41 points in 49 games.

Steven Stamkos (42 points)

37GP - 24G - 18A - 42PTS

Future Hall of Famer and 600-goal scorer Steven Stamkos is the only player on the list who spent the majority of his career in the Eastern Conference. For 16 seasons, he was with the Tampa Bay Lightning, whom the Blackhawks defeated in the 2015 Stanley Cup Final.

Since joining the Nashville Predators in 2024, he’s already tallied seven goals and eight points in eight meetings against Chicago.

Leon Draisaitl (44 points)

Edmonton Oilers star Leon Draisaitl is the only skater on the list to not have played at least 30 games against the Blackhawks. He’s currently producing at 1.51 points per game versus the Original Six club. Interestingly, Draisaitl has a six-point cushion over teammate Connor McDavid, who has 38 points versus Chicago.

Ryan O’Reilly (45 points)

58GP - 18G - 27A - 45PTS

Ryan O’Reilly has spent most of his 17-year NHL career in the Central Division, skating in Colorado, St. Louis, and now Nashville. The former Conn Smythe Trophy winner has scored at least 20 goals in 10 seasons and, with two lamplighters, he will become one of four active players with at least 20 goals against the Blackhawks.

Nathan MacKinnon (53 points)

47GP - 16G - 37A - 53PTS

The reigning Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner, Nathan MacKinnon, has enjoyed playing against Chicago throughout his career. In only 950 games, he’s racked up 1,142 points to be one of this generation’s true stars. Right now, MacKinnon has 53 points versus the Blackhawks, the fourth-best total against any team.

Jamie Benn (54 points)

68GP - 17G - 37A - 54PTS

Jamie Benn is one of the last remaining players in the NHL who plays without a visor, a perk based on his longevity in the league: 17 years. The long-time captain of the Dallas Stars is tied for the most points among active skaters against the Blackhawks. Heading into the new season, Benn is tied with his current teammate Matt Duchene for the most points among active skaters versus Chicago.

Matt Duchene (54 points)

62GP - 23G - 31A - 54PTS

As the third overall pick from the 2009 NHL Draft, Duchene is another player on this list who has spent most of his career in the Central Division. Whether with Colorado, Nashville, or Dallas, he’s tallied 23 goals and 54 points against the Blackhawks.

His 23 goals rank second only to Stamkos, while his 31 assists rank fourth among active players, giving him the top spot on this list entering the 2026-27 season.
