In sports there are certain types of star players, there are players that shrink from the moment and those that rise to the occasion. There is a reason why the Chicago Blackhawks core of Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, and Patrick Sharp have won three Stanley Cups in six seasons. Specifcially Kane and Toews RISE TO the Occasion, unlike Ryan Kesler, Ryan Getzlaf, and Corey Perry.

The record of the Chicago Blackhawks in the Kane/ Toews era speaks for just how often they rise to the Occasion. Remember last season when the Blackhawks needed a win against the St. Louis Blue in St. Louis, who scored the Short-handed game winner? The answer is Toews. Remember when Kane went into Show-time mode against the Minnesota Wild? Kane scored the STANLEY CUP Finals Clinching Goal after being shutout in current Stanley cup Final. Kane also scored the clincher in 2010,and in all of these playoffs, Kane had 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points, For his career, he has 116 games played 48 goals and 66 assists. Toews has a similar numbers, in these playoffs, Toews has 10 goals and 11 asists for 21 points. For his career he has 117 games played, 39 goals and 63 assists.
