The Chicago Blackhawks returned to the ice for the first time since getting blown out by the Dallas Stars 4-0 on the 22nd. Marian Hossa also returned to the lineup for the first time since December 19th against Buffalo. The Hurricanes were coming off a victory against the New Jersey Devils. The Blackhawks would fall in a snooze-fest 2-1. The Blackhawks lone goal came from Brent Seabrook with eight seconds left to play in regulation.

Big cheer for Brent Seabrook, who's playing in his 800th game. I think he's played in 8,000 playoff games, though. #Blackhawks

Ahh what the Faulk. Justin Faulk scores with 18.2 left in the 2nd. #Blackhawks trail 1-0.
— Second City Hockey (@2ndCityHockey) December 28, 2015
Q says the Faulk goal late in the second was "comparable" to the Sharp goal early in the third in Dallas. Deflated the #Blackhawks a bit.

The third period can't possibly be any more boring than the second period, can it? #Blackhawks

@Blackhawk_Up when Carolina leaves town maybe they can bickel with them, and leave rask behind. No one would mind

Coach Q: "We've got to get greasier goals. That's how you score in this league." #Blackhawks

Familiar refrain among Keith, Hossa and Q: The #Blackhawks are being too cute with the puck, and need to get greasier goals.

There's the horn. The #Blackhawks rally comes too late and Chicago falls 2-1. #CHIvsCAR
