Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! This is by far the golden age of being a Chicago Blackhawks fan, and with that records continue to fall during this Jonathan Toews/Patrick Kane era.

We have watched the Blackhawks not only end a 49 year Stanley Cup drought, but they have won 3 in the past 6 seasons.  They crushed the record for opening a season with a point going 24 games to start the 2013 season.   They won their first Game #7 on the road since 1965 when they defeated the Anaheim Ducks on their pond last spring.  The Blackhawks also won their first Stanley Cup on home ice since 1938 when they defeated the Tampa Lightning in 6 games at the United Center.

Another record was set this year when Patrick Kane became the first American born player to score 20 or more goals during the first 9 seasons of his career.  Now the Blackhawks are only 5 wins away from breaking the NHL record of 17 straight wins, and they have set the franchise record of 12 games with their win against the Nashville Predators.

The records keep falling and it’s sure fun to watch on a nightly basis.  Here are some morning links to kick off your Wednesday morning.
