The Chicago Blackhawks are finally off their bye week which I’m sure we are all tired of talking about, so tonight we get to see some real action on the ice.

The Chicago Blackhawks if you recall are on a 5 game winning streak which included a dominating 5-1 victory in Edmonton last Saturday night.  The Hawks looked like a team that could go very deep in the playoffs when they skated off the ice in Edmonton last week.

Now for starters, the Chicago Blackhawks need to try break the 2017 curse of losing when coming off a bye week.  So far every NHL team has lost coming off their bye week so the Hawks will have to come out flying and play a 60 minute game one would think to knock off the rust from their game.

Of course we all think the bye week came at a bad time with the Hawks streaking which is something Coach Joel Quenneville addressed yesterday by saying that basically the bye week came at a bad time, but the Hawks just need to find their game once again.

The player Brian Campbell says is the reason that the Hawks are playing better and winning more regularly before the bye week was Nick Schmaltz.

More from Blackhawks News

The young Hawks finding and filling roles on the roster has opened up the ice for Patrick Kane who was starting to pile up some points before the bye week.  If he has open ice because the kids are playing well means only great things for the Hawks.   Here are the TV Listings for tonight’s game!

On to the predictions part of the program.  Last weekend we had the Blackhawks winning 3-2 so we got the win right, but that’s about so we are looking for a better prediction tonight.

Final Score Prediction– The Chicago Blackhawks like all other teams will struggle coming off the bye week, but they will make their normal late push and tie it up late before a Marian Hossa overtime goal wins it 4-3.
