The Chicago Blackhawks faceoff against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at the United Center in a game that the NBCSN broadcast will sell you as a possible Stanley Cup Final preview!

The Chicago Blackhawks are red hot period! They just finished the month of February with a 9-1 record with their only loss coming in the first game after their bye week.  It was also the only game of the week that they didn’t score 4 or more goals in a game.

Jonathan Toews was named the player of the month for February, and boy it was a pretty great month scoring 7 times with 11 assists and a hat trick somewhere in the middle of all of that.

The thing is as Chicago Blackhawks fans know during this era, February means nothing and the Spring does mean everything.  So what you did in February means very little, but it’s a nice springboard for the rest of the home stretch.

The great thing about the Hawks February is that Joel Quenneville found a top line with Nick Schmaltz and Richard Panik really finding some chemistry with the Blackhawks Captain.

The thing is the Pittsburgh Penguins are trying to win back to back Stanley Cups and they have one focus too.  Of course they will have to go through the Washington Capitals who are stacked this season after the Kevin Shattenkirk trade.

The Hawks made news of their own by trading for Johnny Oduya, but he won’t be back on the ice until Coach Q says he’s totally ready.   Still should be a great game tonight, and here are the viewing options for tonight’s game.
