Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks host their last regular season game at the United Center before noon today, but no worries they have home ice advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs.
Yesterday, the Nashville Predators shut out the Minnesota Wild, and with that final score the Chicago Blackhawks won their 16th Division title in franchise history. Of course when being an Original 6 franchise there weren’t divisions until the late 1960’s.
The good news of course is that the Chicago Blackhawks have home ice advantage throughout the Western Conference playoffs which is good news for the Hawks during the Joel Quenneville Era.
The only time the Chicago Blackhawks have lost a series with home ice advantage was the 2014 Western Conference Finals, and that of course was a Game #7 overtime game that was won with a bad bounce off of Nick Leddy.
On to today, it will be interesting to see how Joel Quenneville plays his cards with a week of games left and really nothing left to play for as a team.
It’s another early morning game which the Hawks woke up for a few weeks ago and the Minnesota Wild didn’t well at least Devan Dubnyk didn’t wake up. This should be different this morning because the Bruins are fighting for their playoff lives.
