Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! It’s Finally time for the Chicago Blackhawks to take their newest journey in the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs.
It’s been almost an entire calendar year since Brent Seabrook hit both posts late in the third period of Game #7 against the St. Louis Blues in the first round of the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs that ended with the earliest Chicago Blackhawks playoff exit since 2012.
The one silver lining for the Chicago Blackhawks from getting knocked out of the playoffs early was some rest for the core of the Blackhawks that all have played between 100-124 playoff games since 2009. The biggest benefactors with this rest has to be Marian Hossa who has been back to his normal self at the age of 38.
With Hossa on the third line, Coach Joel Quenneville has four lines to roll out there which has balanced out the Hawks offense better than last year when the Hawks really only had one line that could produce anything.
So now we are in the second season with the playoffs starting last night, and I can’t wait to hear the anthem and hopefully a whole lot of Chelsea Dagger tonight!
