Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Well after waiting an entire year for the playoffs to return, the Chicago Blackhawks stunk up the first period and ended up skating away with a 1-0 loss.

The Chicago Blackhawks had a 10 minute lull in their game on Thursday night, and it cost them in the end it’s another 1-0 deficit to start a series.  The sad part is that it was almost a year ago to the date that David Backes and the St. Louis Blues beat the Chicago Blackhawks 1-0 in overtime.

Last year, the Chicago Blackhawks because of losing their opening game of the playoffs were forced to a Game #7, and we all know how that ended with a rival of the Chicago Blackhawks moving on in the playoffs.

The frustrating part of the entire game was watching Brent Seabrook and Duncan Keith shooting time and time again into a Nashville Predators player.  If it was a drinking game, I would have been wasted if I had to drink every time I heard the word blocked shot.  This is definitely something that Joel Quenneville and the coaching staff have to change their attack for Game #2.

All of this is frustrating that the Hawks had two weeks really to prepare for the series, and yet they are behind the 8 ball from the start of another series.
