Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks season came to an end, and now we have something like 173 days until opening night so the question is Now What Do We do?

The Chicago Blackhawks did the unthinkable for all of its fanbase on Thursday night when they stunk up the hockey rink and skated for the last time in the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs.

While sitting in the 300 section at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night, it was discouraging not that they lost, but that they never showed any sense of desperation from the opening face-off until the final horn.

I fully expected to see the Hawks give their best shot to extend the series back to Chicago, but they didn’t show their heart of a champion once during the game. It was a frustrating night in the nose bleeds on Thursday watching my favorite team not play like champions.

That being said the question is whether or not this is an end of an era.  After the 2012 season, the Hawks had suffered through two consecutive first round exits and the Hawks ended up winning two out of the next 3 Stanley Cups.  The biggest problem is that the core is getting older while the youngsters have vanished for the past two playoff seasons.
