Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Nhl season is finally over with the Pittsburgh Penguin winning the Stanley Cup for the second straight season.

The Dynasty debate has begun with the Pittsburgh Penguins winning their 3rd Stanley Cup since 2009 with their last two consecutively versus the Chicago Blackhawks who have won 3 in 6 years this decade.

Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times had an interesting tweet about the salary cap era.

The Chicago Blackhawks stars are in their late 20’s now so the window is still open, but it’s going to start closing pretty soon, so the Hawks need to figure out this salary cap dump this season and then try their best to win the 2018 Stanley Cup.  As much as I don’t want to see anyone go the hard truth is that someone is going, and no matter who it is we will be pretty upset about it.

So, if the Hawks want to be the team of this decade it sure feels like they still need one more Cup now.  It’s almost hard to believe that after the 2015 Stanley Cup we would be talking dynasty and not the Hawks in the same sentence.  Congrats to the Pens!
