Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! We are one day away from free agency officially opening, and for some teams and fans of teams it feels like Christmas Eve.

The Chicago Blackhawks of course still have a move or two up their sleeve one would think with the Stan Bowman edict that he’s upset and things aren’t going to stay the same.

He’s already moved Niklas Hjalmarsson away for youth on the D-line and reacquired Brandon Saad to apparently wake up Jonathan Toews from two seasons of a million wingers.

So the question is will Marcus Kruger get moved tomorrow after his signing bonus kicks in which has been the long rumored trade with the Vegas Golden Knights.  All the tea leaves point to that move getting done.

For me as a Blackhawk fan, how does that make the team any better, and with the Marian Hossa not playing this year does it even have to be done for the salary cap.  Stan seems to have an outline that Rocky and John have approved so it will be wait and see time this weekend and early into next week.

Stan has made some bold moves, but I’m not sure that the team is any better because of them just yet!
