Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks and the Vegas Golden Knights finally finalized the Marcus Kruger deal, and in the end the Chicago Blackhawks ended up with the best player in the NHL… Future Considerations

The two worst secrets in Chicago the past couple weeks were the fact that Patrick Sharp was coming home, and Marcus Kruger was going to leave the Hawks for Vegas for the time being.

The Kruger deal only makes sense because it’s due to his salary, and Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman and Vegas GM George McPhee had made a deal that the Golden Knights take Trevor van Riemsdyk in the expansion draft which they have already flipped for a second round draft pick.

Kruger was one of those guys that just went about and did his job without much notoriety or need for fame.  A perfect little soldier on a team full of stars.  Kruger did things like play on the penalty kill, take the toughest assignments 5 on 5, and until his wrist injury was pretty good at taking face-offs.

He was part of two Stanley Cup runs and was on the ice for the 2nd goal in 17 seconds in Boston, and was the first to huge Dave Bolland after he scored the Cup winning goal.

Kruger is just another familiar face that was too good for a little too long that made just too much money to stick around for any longer in Chicago thanks to the salary cap!

Who knows what these future considerations are, but they won’t add up to 1 Marcus Kruger!
