Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! Another work week is upon us, and my question is whether or not Chicago Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman is done or does he have more trades up his sleeve.

For starters we posted three reasons why Artemi Panarin could be traded, but I really didn’t think that both the Bread Man and Niklas Hjalmarsson would be traded before the NHL draft kicked off in Chicago.

It’s been a couple weeks for these trades to settle in, and to be honest I’m perfectly fine with them. One thing that happens when you hold on to your stars too long, and that is your team gets old and falls to the bottom of the standings.

Of course, the Chicago Blackhawks defense will not be better this season without Niklas Hjalmarsson in the lineup, but what did Stan see in his game that made him decide to deal him.  It’s not like the deals he made with the Blackhawks core defenseman saved much money so did they see something we didn’t?

More from Blackhawks News

So with the Chicago Blackhawks defense weakened will Stan do anything else before the season starts.  Is there a bargain basement deal out there that can at least help the Chicago Blackhawks defense?  I’m a fan of young players, but when it comes to defense sometimes youth can be a little dangerous!  So if a vet was available on the cheap would it be better than having to play Jan Rutta? I’m not sure!

So what are you going to Stan Bowman, we are sitting here during the Baseball All-Star Break waiting for something to write about!
