Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks Convention starts today, and the question is.. Are you ready!

There are two types of Chicago Blackhawks fans! There are the types of fans that love the Chicago Blackhawks convention, and can’t wait to get there every year. And there are the people that will say they hate it, and would never come close to attending a convention.

I totally understand both points of view, but I would like to think that deep down inside if there wasn’t a mob of people there every year that most fans would like to hang out with their favorite player and grab an autograph or two.

The opening ceremony of the convention is really the best part for me since CSN or Blackhawks.com usually plays it live, and it’s great seeing all the old greats walk out on stage with the new stars of this generation.

More from Blackhawks News

After that it’s everyone speaking the company line in all of the different conference rooms with different topics. This is where I’m sure there is some insight, but it’s players doing their last real thing before they get over a month of no obligations until training camp.

One last thing today before the convention is this morning’s scrimmage at prospect camp which should be an exciting time for those bloggers and beats that have watched four straight days of drills.  Thanks for all the updates, but it’s game action that I want to read about today!
