Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! If you poll Chicago Blackhawks fans, most would say the Chicago Blackhawks aren’t a better team and roster right now then they were when the season ended in Nashville.

This comes up because Patrick Kane says that he thinks the Chicago Blackhawks are better on paper than they were last year.

I will say that the Chicago Blackhawks may be just as good if not better on offense this coming season than they were last year.  Having Brandon Saad back on the roster will do so much for Jonathan Toews and the entire offense.

More from Blackhawks News

The biggest question mark for me on offense will be what do the Hawks get from Patrick Sharp. He’s back and hopefully healthy, but he will most likely be in the Breadman’s spot to start the season and so how will this affect Patrick Kane.

Now on paper, the defense will not be better period unless they pick another veteran up like Cody Franson.  You just can’t take Niklas Hjalmarsson off your roster and expect the unit to be better.  I’m hoping that Connor Murphy is better than expected with a new team. Either way, it will be fun to see what happens when the season kicks off in less than two months.
